Herbal Supplements and Direct Distributors
Herbalife, Melaleuca, Amway and many others peddle herbal supplements. The distributors of these companies make their incomes from selling herbal supplements with the promise of renewed youth, health and weight loss. Commissions are low with the promise of higher commissions once the distributor recruits enough members or distributors for the company. Herbal supplements are not the only product that companies such as the Shaklee Company and Herbalife sell but the herbal products are the life’s blood of the company. Herbalife made a fortune off of products which promised thinner bodies, timeless beauty, healthier digestive systems and many other nutritional benefits of these products marketed by direct sales. Many of the companies did offer some of the best products and herbal supplements money could buy. Get rich quick schemes often led the companies which were at the forefront of selling these herbal supplements but the main goal of the companies, naturally, was to offer the benefits of herbal supplements to make the lives of those who took the supplements much better. The FDA doesn’t approve these herbal supplements that the companies listed within the Direct Selling Association promote. Basically, if consumers decide to take the herbal supplements then they are taking the supplements at their own risk. Furthermore, founder Mark Hughes of the Herbalife Corporation, developer of its concept and consumer of his own supplements met an untimely death which would make one stop and consider what is in the herbal supplements. Herbal Supplements are some of the best remedies for flu-like symptoms, weight loss, rejuvenating the skin, and actually feeling as much as 10 years younger but the herbal supplements that these companies are coming out with are unfortunately, regardless of what the companies promoting them will tell you, not quite perfected. Members of these herbal supplement peddling-companies will tell you that their products are doing all of these wonderful things for them. And yet they will not be able to tell you what exactly goes into the supplement. Many direct distributors really do not care as long as they are making money off the sale of the herbal supplements. Herbal supplements are changing the lives of many people, however and that should continue for the rest of our natural lives because eventually the FDA will be forced to reckon with these supplements that distributors don’t only swear by, but live by. The Melaleuca distributors and Shaklee distributors, as an example are pushing supplements which are helping people live better and healthier lives and financially, the distributors of Melaleuca and Shaklee as well as many other companies, are doing just fine. Distributors of Amway and Quixtar may be cashing in more on the market of health products and vitamins than just herbal supplements. However, the distributors of Quixtar/Amway have more to battle than just the typical selling competition and friendly competition between companies. These companies, which are basically one in the same, faced nasty public ridicule. The Amway Corporation and many of the Diamond members of the company were accused of making income promises that they could not fulfill. The Amway Corporation actually played on more than the high quality of their products but instead found a way to play on something people needed more than high quality products, financial stability or the dream of total financial freedom, the company played on the concept of acceptance among people. Many people who joined Amway in the 80s and 90s were looking for acceptance more than herbal supplements and direct distributorships peddling financial freedom with these products. Many wanted acceptance and wanted friends. And Amway delivered. Herbal supplements has been the main focus of Herbalife and of course, dominates some of the products of Shaklee and Melaleuca as well. Many of the supplements are good supplements and the distributors are showing a big improvement in their overall health, well-being and yes, financial well-being. However, if you believe you are taking a product that is 100% safe, think of young Mark Hughes who was not only the founder of Herbalife but an active consumer of his own products, he died of unexplained natural causes which doesn’t make him or his company a billboard for longevity.
